More than 40 performers will offer a variety of music, from Dixieland jazz to classical, at the Museum Mile Festival on June 9. Museums along Fifth Avenue, from 82d Street to 104th Street, are to open their doors for the festival, which is to be held from 6 to 9 P.M., rain or shine.
I really love this festival. This year I hope to make it to Cooper-Hewitt, Guggenheim, & the Neue Galerie. Three art museums that cost quite a bit normally to get into all for free. The other museums on the list are equally inspirational however I can breeze though those on a Saturday afternoon on suggested donation.
