Living with Art

This past Monday I had the privilege to shoot a jewelry line in a private home which had this photo by Alfred Eisenstaedt (the photographer who captured the iconic Times Square image of the sailor kissing the nurse) on display in the home office. I asked the owner about the image which was from the last set of photographs printed by the artist himself before he passed away. It was purchased for $4,500 and is today worth around $89,000. I think the question, is photography art? has been answered.
