Places like these I usually keep to myself like a dirty little secret, but this past trip to Texas my Dad pointed out that one day I might drive out to Forreston, Texas (pop. 200) and find my beloved vintage shop, Bon Ton Vintage, gone! HORROR! I’ve been making the pilgrimage here for almost 10 years so with the words of my father ringing in my head I decided to photograph in detail my favorite, most magical… like I wish I could live here… store, Bon Ton Vintage. 

If you ever find yourself in Texas, stop by and you must MUST sit down up stairs & talk to the closest thing to an old hollywood starlet you’d ever meet: shop owner Barbara Kauffman. From the south, lived in New York, once engaged to a MAD MAN, retired musician (with her husband who works the downstairs), with the most glamerous stories you’d ever hear. I adore and admire her and spend as much time chatting away about the days gone by as I do shopping- and that says a lot.
