Buying Shaker

[O]n a recent trip to Maine we stopped off at Windsor Chairmakers for a little look-and-see of something so classic New England. What we found was a new modeling stool for the studio and a whole story about how it came to be. Completely handcrafted in an old barn on the property, owner Jim Brown will tell you when you come in you’re buying a piece of the past with function and comfort all in one. Now that’s my cup of tea!

Oooh it is too difficult to choose among your different articles and pictures. I think I prefer all pictures about travels in Morocco and in Paris, I would love to see more pictures of your amazing trip in most beautiful places in the world.

Beautiful images. We recently drove by Windsor Chairmakers on our way to brunch in Belfast and I desperately wanted to stop in, but they weren’t open. I hope I get the chance to get back up to Lincolnville and stop in soon!

I’ve missed so many posts since being away – trying to catch up! I did not know such a stool was called a modeling stool. That workshop is something else. Love when chairs take on a ‘sat on’ shape after a while.
